Owners of Prince Of Venice have been rewarded for their patience in waiting for a track with some cut in the ground, with a win at Hamilton yesterday in the BM 58 1100m.

Given a 10/10 ride by Damien Thornton he jumped fairly from barrier 5 without being bustled and settled mid field with cover. He was checked off heels at the 250m mark and finished off too well holding off race favourite Splashette.

Congratulations to all of the connections, it was great to get Prince into the winner’s stall. He has now brought up his second win from 11 starts, with the suitable track no doubt being the key we look forward to some winter racing success.
