A drop back from metro grade saw Toregene return to the winners stall, bringing up her second win from three career starts in the F&M 1300m BM64 at Swan Hill on the middle day of the carnival.

With jockey Dean Holland in the saddle she was hampered on jumping from barrier 8 but pleasingly happy to settle in the back half of the field.  Travelling three wide with no cover she began to move around the field at the 800m mark and by the turn found the better going down the middle of the track and chased down the leader to win well by 3.5 lengths.

Congratulations to OTI and all of her connections, Toregene will now head to the paddock for a well deserved spell.
