The track at Hamilton had some saying that it was beyond the heavy range, but that didn’t seem to bother Dyerville.  The four year old Redwood gelding imported from NZ relished in the ground with a lead all of the way win in the BM 64 over 1400m.

Given a great front running ride by regular jockey Dean Yendall, he jumped fast from barrier five and crossed quickly to take up the lead.  He settled well and was able to keep going when challenged in the straight to claim the race by 2 1/2 lengths.  Matthew was confident he would get through the ground and he had trained on well after his strong first up performance running second at the Warrnambool May carnival.

Congratulation to OTI and all of his connections.  Dyerville will now likely head to Adelaide to contest a BM 70 race over 1550m.  His form now reads 10- 3:2:0 with almost $65K in stakes.
