Four year old mare Ripple Effect (NZ) was tough to the line when winning the BM 58 2200m race at Ararat.  Coming off a fair start prior where she ran 4th at Mortlake, the stable was hopeful the extra distance would be the answer.

Jumping from barrier 8 in a 10 horse field she left the gates well and mustered enough speed to cross the field and settle second on the fence. Despite seeming to over race at times jockey Dean Yendall asked her for an effort from the 800m mark and she fought hard to claim the race by a neck.

Congratulations to her connections, her form now reads 8- 2-1-1.  Ripple will now look to contest a similar race over the same distance in mid December.
