A winning double for the team at Geelong yesterday with homebred filly Maeve In Manhattan breaking her maiden ridden by Damien Thornton, while progressive Onemorenomore gelding Paremuus Boy ridden by Damien’s sister Steph Thornton, was able to bring up his third win on the trot.

Maeve In Manhattan jumped well from barrier two and pushed forward to take up the lead and although threatened late was too strong to the line in the 1220m event.  Paremuus Boy notched up his third win from six starts in the BM64 1420m race. Settling mid field one off the fence with cover he made his move on the turn and was the widest runner into the straight and went on to win by almost three lengths eased down on the line.

Congratulations to the connections of both horses, it is exciting to be heading to the races with horses capable of stepping up through their grades.
