Commands gelding Shortspresso has been able to reward his patient group of owners by taking out the BM 64 1200m race at Murtoa yesterday. Getting conditions to suit on a heavy 9 track he justified his favouritism and was too strong to the line.
Rated well by Dean Yendall in the trying conditions he jumped from barrier four and settled in fourth position one off one back. Rounding the turn at the 350m mark he was asked to make his move and cruised past the leaders down the outside of the track and went on to claim the race by 5 lengths.
Congratulations to ATB and all of his owners, it was great to get Jet back into the winners stall. Let’s hope that he can now continue on his winning way.
