French import Seawhatyouthink was able to get his first metropolitan win on the board in a tough two horse fight to the line at Flemington in the 2500m BM 78. Having now won three of his six Australian starts since joining our stable where he initially arrived to complete a tendon rehab program under the guidance of Ballarat vet Dr Andrew Cust.
Ridden by Dean Yendall he jumped ok from barrier 2 and got into a forward position inside behind the leader where he settled well. On straightening he went head to head with fellow Warrnambool trained galloper Constantinople, but he proved too strong to the line holding on by 0.2L with a six length gap back to third.
Congratulations to OTI and their partners who have been very patient and now duly rewarded. All being well he will now return to the same track for the $200,000 listed Bagot handicap on New Year’s day.
