Former Ciaron Maher trained mare, Barely A Scent was able to bring up her first win for our stable yesterday by taking out the BM 64 1300m race at Warrnambool.

Jumping from barrier 5 she was slightly slow away and settled at the rear of the field.  Allowed to settle by jockey Ryan Maloney, she was probably a pair further back than anticipated and on the heavy 10 going there was some concern if she would be able to make up the necessary ground.  She travelled last until the home turn where she came to the outside of the field and hit the lead at the 150m mark and drew away to win by 2 ΒΌ lengths.

Congratulations to all of her connections, the transfer to the beach environment is beginning to pay off.  Hopefully we can now keep Barely on her winning way.
