The owners of Royal Fox have been rewarded for their patience after his luckless last few starts when he was able to take out the 2200m 0-58 handicap at Hamilton.  The four year old son of Foxwedge looked at one stage like he may have had another hard luck story when he was held up at the 400m mark, but justified his favouritism proving too strong for his opposition.

Ridden by his regular jockey Dean Yendall he jumped ok and settled four lengths off the leaders on the rails.  Desperately needing some galloping room into the straight Dean was able to ease off heels finding some clear running where he let down well.

Congratulations to his patient connections, Royal Fox has now earned $88k in stakes and his record reads 21: 3-1-3.  We will look towards stepping him out further in distance as a possible jumps career looms.
