NZ import Ripple Effect was able to kick off her Australian racing career in style after taking out the 1400m maiden on her home track.  Having been purchased late October off a first start second placing at Tauranga in New Zealand, Matthew would have been happy to see her hitting the line so to get the win was very pleasing.

Ridden by jockey Dean Yendall she jumped ok from barrier six and was not bustled to settle third.  A gap then appeared on the turn and she finished off strongly to claim the race by almost two lengths.

Congratulations to her connections, it is great to see them get a quick return on their investment.  Ripple Effect will now head to the paddock for a well deserved spell.
