Lightly raced Congrats mare Red Mary, was able to break her maiden at Avoca on Saturday in the 1300m race.
Given a well rated front running ride by Georgie Cartwright, she jumped well from barrier 5 and with no early speed in the race Georgie took the initiative to take up the lead. She then rated the speed well and was able to lead all of the way right to the line.
Congratulations to her New Zealand owners, it was great to get her into the winners stall.
