Consistent Bianconi galloper Our Bottino was able to go one better yesterday and notch up a win after running second three times this preparation. He stepped out in the last race on the card at Warrnambool, the 1700m BM64 and was sent out second favourite behind the fancied Godolphin runner Inner Circle.
Given a great on pace ride by Dean Yendall he jumped away well and was able to sit outside the leader, one off the fence. At the 600m mark the leader Inner Circle made a mid race move and skipped a couple in front but was left flat footed as Our Bottino sailed past him in the straight to go on and win comfortably by over two lengths.
Congratulations to all of his connections, it was great to see Bruce back in the winners stall.
