Bianconi gelding Our Bottino was able to break through and win his maiden at Geelong on the synthetic in the 1300m race for 3 year olds and up on Friday 24th of July. Ridden by Brad Rawiller the race didn’t go exactly to plan, when after jumping ok he was caught out three wide with no cover for the majority of the run. When probably entitled to drop out and fade in the straight, he showed some real fight to the line when hitting the front at the 200m and kicking away to win by more than a length.
Congratulations to all of his owners who have been patient with him and given his the time that he needed to mature. We now hope Bruce can go on his winning way.
