Consistent Hard Spun mare Hard Go Jo was finally able to take her place in the winners stall at Warrnambool on Monday after winning the 1400m maiden.  Starting favourite, after three consecutive second placings this prep she was rated well in front by jockey Damien Thornton.

Jumping from barrier four she was able to dictate the speed in front and after being headed in the final stages by the eventual second placed horse, she dug deep on the line to go on and win by 0.1 lengths.

She is proving to be a very versatile mare with form on ground ranging from a good 4 to a heavy 8. Congratulations to her owner/breeder Rob Manwaring he seems to have himself a horse with plenty of upside. She now heads to the paddock for a well deserved spell for the spring.
