Homebred two year old filly Don’t Doubt Maeve was able to get her first victory on the board at just her third start, by taking out the 1400m 2yo maiden at Geelong today. Out of our handy mare Banri Maeve by Not A Single Doubt this filly is improving off each run.
Given a great front running ride by Jarrod Fry, she jumped well from barrier 5 and took up the lead. She dictated terms in front and had a fairly soft time until being threatened at around the 150m mark in the straight when she kicked again and went on to win by 1.25L
