Former Sydneysider Multilateral was able to get his first jumps victory on the board yesterday, winning the benchmark 125 hurdle race at Casterton.  The well performed flat galloper had amassed almost half a million dollars in prize money before being sent south to our stable to pursue a jumps career.

Given a great ride by Tom Ryan, he settled well in the first half of the field before making a winning mid race move to go stride for stride with race leader, the Darren Weir trained Deadly.  The two horses battled out the finish in a race of their own, with the leader succumbing to the pressure making a mistake at the last and Multi went on to tough it out and win by 2.5 lengths.

Congratulations to all of his connections, we are very pleased that Multi is enjoying his sea change.
