Lightly raced five year old Sharkbite gelding Mordacious, was able to bring up his second win from as many starts for our stable by taking out the C,G&E BM58 1200m race at Hamilton yesterday.
Coming off a last start victory at Warrnambool on Oaks day, he backed up his good form when given a well rated ride by Jarrod Fry. Jumping from the slightly awkward barrier 9, he showed good gate speed and was able to cross the field and slot in on the fence just behind the leader. He was produced on the home turn and was able to run down the leader and hit the line strong to claim the race by almost two lengths.
Congratulations to his connections, it was great to see him go on and take the next step in stronger grade.
