A change of riding tactics seemed to be the key for four year old Magnus mare, Manga Rossa at Casterton on Saturday.  Ridden more forward she was able to hold off her rivals and salute in the 1200m BM 64 holding off race favourite Belaruski who finished in second position.

Three kilo claiming apprentice Trent Germaine had the steer, jumping ok from barrier 5 she settled well outside the leader in the two wide lane.  She was able to find the lead at the 200m and looked headed 100m from home but rallied in what was a tough on pace win.

Congratulations to all of her connections, it was great to get Maggie into the winners stall for the first time for our stable.  The mare has now won three from 22 starts and just over $170K in stakes.
