Lady Selkirk was able to get her maiden win on the board by taking out the opening event on the card at Ararat on Sunday, the 1300m 3yo Super Vobis race. Given a 10/10 ride by Dean Yendall she settled 4th before being hooked out wide on the turn and looming up quickly in the straight. She hit the lead at the 200m mark before being eased to the line and going on to win by 2 ΒΌ lengths.
