Lady Selkirk bounced back to her true form yesterday by taking out another metro win at Ladbrokes Park, hillside. With Ben Thompson in saddle the 4 yo mare by Von Costa De Hero took out race three the BM78 1600m handicap. This brings up her 5th career victory in 14 starts taking her stakes money to just over $240K.
Jumping well with the field from barrier 2, she settled much better this time with the noted gear change from blinkers back to winkers and sat just outside the leader. Making her move into the home straight she let down well and attacked the line to claim the race by almost 2 lengths, justifying her favouritism.
