Three year old Foxwedge filly Kuramae was able to break her maiden status at Terang in the F&M 1200m maiden plate.  First up off a spell she started as the $1.60 favourite and didn’t disappoint.

Given a fantastic ride by jockey Dean Yendall from barrier 6 the plan was to settle in the second half of the field, but coming into the straight she was going to need plenty of luck to get through.  Yendall was able to weave his way through the field, the gaps appeared Yendall went back to the fence where she kicked on strongly to claim the race by half a length.

Congratulations to the connections, Foxy will now be given the opportunity to step up to city grade and will most likely head to Moonee Valley for a night meeting on Friday 6th December.
