Consistent three year old Toronado filly Intellective was able to get a win on the board in Swan Hill taking out the first of the day the 2&3yo 1600m maiden. Having weighed in at all of her six starts prior, she was able to justify starting as race favourite.
Drawing barrier two with Dean Yendall in the saddle she jumped away slightly slowly so settled mid field in a moderately ran race. Coming into the home straight she was held up for clear running when Yendall switched to the inside and she kicked away strongly to claim the race by 2.5 lengths.
