Aptly named homebred gelding Wangoom was able to break his maiden today in Ballarat over 1400m at only his second race start. Wangoom is by Manhattan Rain out of Banri Maeve (dec) who we also trained.
Overcoming the wide gate aided by a great ride by Dean Yendall he was able to cross the field and take up the lead. A length in front on the home turn he kept going to hold off the opposition and find the line just in time.
Congratulations to his connections who are also family members which made this an extra special win.
