The owners of Unseen Ruler were rewarded with almost $45K in stakes money in two days after winning on the Friday and then backing up into the Cup two days later finishing a gallant third.
Ridden on both occasions by jockey Dean Yendall, his win came in the BM 70 over 1600m where he jumped well from barrier two and settled on the leaders back two lengths off. With a rails run through he took over at the 400m mark and kept going. Having pulled up so well the decision was made to back him up into the Cup on the Sunday where he gave a sight down the outside finishing third beaten just over a length.
Congratulations to his connections. Unseen ruler will now enjoy a well deserved freshen up in the paddock.
