Breeding is a game that requires plenty of patience and today the loyal owners of Flying Fizz were rewarded for theirs when the homebred filly was able to win on debut over 1200m at the Bool. The three year old is by Street Boss out of Flying Tessie who was also raced by our stable with the same ownership group.
Jumping fast from barrier 3 she was restrained by jockey Dean Yendall and settled on the leaders back. She came off heels at the 200m mark getting into the clear finishing off too well with her ears pricked to the line.
All being well Flying Fizz will now head to Flemington in a 1400m listed race on Melbourne Cup Day. How exciting would it be to see her re create what her dam Flying Tessie was able to do back in 2009 !!!
