Four year old mare Fiorente Lass showed she is loving the change of environment with a win first up for our stable yesterday.  Taking her place in the F&M 1400m maiden in the Warrnambool meeting transferred from Ballarat we headed into the race hopeful rather than confident.  “She had trialled up well and her work at home was good, but we needed to see her bring that to the races” Matthew said.

Jumping from barrier 9 with Johnny Allen in the saddle she was slow out and drifted to the back of the field about 6 lengths off the lead.  She was the widest on the turn but let down well in the straight to claim the race by 3/4 length.

Congratulations to her connections who have been very patient with her only having had three career starts. It was a great thrill to get a result early on with her and we hope she will now continue on her winning way.
