East Star was able to win the first race on the card at Donald yesterday. She was having her first day out at the race and she took it all in her stride. She settled a bit further back in the run than we expected her to but she settled well for Ryan Maloney. After coming around the home turn she was making up good ground in the straight and she was finishing off strong and fought hard winning the race by a head. This was a great effort winning on debut. We race this promising filly with Australian Thoroughbred Bloodstock and a big team of connections so I am sure everyone involved was very pleased with this win!
