Hollow Log was able to bring up his second win this preparation when he took out the 0-58 2000m race at Casterton on the 19th of July. Given a 10/10 ride by track specialist jockey John Allen, he settled mid field with cover and begin his move at the 600m. Making good ground into the straight he came out wide on the track to pull away and be eased down on the line and win by 2 ¼ lengths.
Matthew pulled the right rein in opting to head to the races instead of sending Dasher to trial again over the jumps to obtain his second qualifying jumps ticket. It was great to see Dasher get another win on the flat before heading over the sticks later this season.
