In form stayer Darvin gets his second city win on the trot taking out the 3000m BM78 race tonight at Moonee Valley.  The irish import by Le Havre is going from strength to strength relishing the longer trips.

Drawing the outside gate he jumped ok then went forward early and settled well outside the leader.  There were no mid race moves to speak of until jockey Dean Yendall asked Darvin to kick for home at the 600m mark and took over the lead.  He was two lengths clear on straightening and was able to just hold on to claim the prize.

Congratulations to OTI and all of his connections, he has now earned himself a nomination into the Adelaide Cup.  Darvin has had seven Australian starts for two wins and a second.
