We can dare to dream…..why wouldn’t we? Harbour Views put paid to any doubts about the distance or his ability to navigate the Moonee Valley circuit, when he cruised to the line to take out the 2040M handicap race by 2.25 lengths. This now takes his record to six wins from nine starts with three minor placings.
The race unfolded perfectly for him when he jumped well from the gates under regular jockey John Allen. He was able to settle in the 1-1 position and switched off until he was called for at around the 500m mark where he circled into the clear and put the field away under soft riding to the line.
We will now await the handicappers decision on what his rating will be before deciding on the exact path from here, but Matthew thinks the Feehan stakes would be an obvious target. “It looks a good race for him to possibly get a free ticket into the Cox Plate” Matthew said.
Congratulations to OTI and their partners, it is so exciting to have a genuine prospect heading towards the spring.
