Clairvaux returned to the track with style at Terang yesterday, winning his first up run. A well timed ride from Ryan Maloney saw him position at the rear of the field before coming to the outside on the corner and rounding them up in the straight to win by 3 quarters of a length. His last 400m was very impressive once he balanced up and let go to catch the leader. The 4yo Choisir gelding always runs well fresh and first up over the 1400m was an ideal distance to kick him off in.

He now heads to Sandown for his next run over 1800m, before heading to the Terang Cup on the 19th of April. This will hopefully be a stepping stone and path into the Warrnambool Cup on the 7th of May. He is a previous winner at the May Carnival 2 years ago, when he won the Inglis 2 year old race on the Thursday. It would be very exciting for the stable to have a runner in our home town cup, so hopefully 'Dazza' can continue on his winning ways and earn himself a chance to step out at the May Carnival! Congratulations to his big group of owners who look to be set for a exciting preparation with him!
