Bird Rock was able to break her maiden status when she won race 4 the 3 year old super vobis 1400 metre maiden at Werribee yesterday. She was ridden very well by Dean Yendall. He sat her in behind the leaders and let her come to the outside in the straight and she was too strong on the line to win by a nose. She stuck her nose out just in time. She looks to be a nice staying filly in the making. Well done to her winning connections!
