Artie's Shore ended a winning drought for the stable yesterday at Warrnambool winning the South West Roofing and Garage Doors BM70 1300m Handicap.

He was first-up yesterday and the four-year-old gelding returned his previous campaign’s form with a strong win. Jockey Jamie Mott had him settled just off the leader who set a strong pace, before taking the lead at the top of the straight kicking clear 150m from home.

Artie's Shore will now be set for next month’s 1400m Port Fairy Cup. While the cup carries a $40,000 prize purse, it also has a $20,000 VOBIS Gold Owners bonus — an incentive Artie’s Shore is eligible to claim should he win. He has good record at his home track with 2 wins and 3 seconds from 5 starts.

Congratulations to his owners on a great return to the track yesterday!
