Owners of NZ import Land Of Heroes have been rewarded for the patience with an impressive first start win on his home track at the Bool.  The beginning to his racing career was delayed after needing knee surgery so to get his maiden win on the board on debut was very satisfying for the team.

After drawing the outside gate jockey Jarrod Fry chose to restrain and slot in towards the rear of the field rather than get caught wide where he settled six lengths off the leader.  Matthew thought he may have needed a bit further than the 1100m trip and despite being on a heavy 10 track he motored home in the straight and was too strong to the line.

Congratulations to OTI and his other connections he looks to be in for an exciting preparation.
