The stable formula for buying trail winners from NZ on the recommendation of astute bloodstock agent Phill Cataldo has again been proven with Charities winning at Donald on debut.  The three year old filly by Contributer had done everything right heading into her first start, so the confidence levels in the stable were up. “She had trialled up well but you just want to see them put it all together on race day and that’s exactly what she was able to do”  Matthew said.

Jumping ok from barrier seven she was sent forward by jockey Dean Yendall and settled well in second outside the leader.  She was then asked for an effort on the turn and took over letting down well in the heavy eight conditions to find the line strongly.

Congratulations to OTI and all of her connections.  We will now look towards a class one for her at Geelong on the 11th of August, if she was to run well again there we would certainly be looking to raise the bar next time out.
