Tessie flys at Flemington and First Base breaks his Maiden

Mar 09, 2011

Flying Tessie ran a super race at Flemington on Saturday under the guidence of Craig Williams.  She got back to last and stormed home down the Flemington straight to run second.  She was able to gain some more black type to add to her breeding resume.  First Base was able to win race 1 the 1000 metre 3 year old maiden yesterday at Warrnambool. He jumped well from the barriers and travelled well in the run. He got into some trouble at the 200 metre mark when he was taking a gap but it then closed, to his credit he picked himself up again and charged to the line to win by a neck. It looks like he may head to Werribee on the 2nd of April. Congratulations to all his winning connections.
