Bella Tiara Claims City Crown

Jan 02, 2021

Three year old Sepoy filly Bella Tiara showed a superior turn of foot storming home from last to first to claim her first city win at Caulfield.  Coming off a last start unlucky third at Flemington, she took out race 1 the 1400m BM70 for fillies and mares by 3/4 of a length with Sensationalisation and Vespertine filling the minor placings.

Given a patient ride by jockey Dean Yendall she jumped away slightly slowly from barrier eight in a nine horse field and settled down last about six lengths off the leader, with cover.  She was the widest on the turn then saw open air on straightening and rounded up the field hitting the line full of running.  Matthew believes she is now looking for further ground and has the Rivette series as a possible goal this preparation.

Congratulations to her connections, it seems they are in for some exciting days ahead at the races with her.  Bella Tiara has now had 6 starts for 2-1-1 and almost $115K in stakes.
